I am an electrical engineering student and I always wanted to create and design physical objects so I think learning SOLIDWORKS would help me with covering the mechanical design aspect that I lack in electrical engineering so I can fully design things mechanically, electrically, and software using my coding skills. Also I want to make robots.

hey I've been using Catia v5R20 software for 1 year it is not very complicated, I find it very easy to use the interface of the software is friendly, the best thing is that you can design a very complicated figure and modify it in 3-dimensional view and also there are so many things hidden in there which I didn't explore like stress analysis and many more.......🙃🙃

Since I studied engineering, I was interested in learning 3D Design, because by learning 3D Design, I can make various tools or items, and I am increasingly interested in learning 3D Design, when I interned at a manufacturing company, I learned to apply 3D Design to work with CNC Milling and Lathe, and I now work in drone manufacturing, and I want to get a certificate of expertise, so that I become more confident to draw and apply my 3D design results. Now I use SolidWorks to create 3D designs, and online courses will really help me to divide my time between work and study

Great video, with just one mistake at the end. You can actually modify a feature in only one configuration. In your example you change the boss-extrude function and it impacts every configuration. However, when modifying boss-extrude you can select the box "This configuration" and the change will only apply to the current configuration ;)

In my opinion, one of the pillars of being a capable mechanical engineer is to be able to design (model) real life solid parts or assemblies of parts because whatever field the engineer is working in (aeroplanes, vehicles, robots, fluid transportation, space vehicles, automated stuff) he/she must have at least a good knowledge of the software used. In addition, as an undergraduate, mastering such a key software opens up many opportunities later on.
